 - Warm temperatures are expected through next week, with rain-
   free conditions through at least Wednesday.

 - Fire danger will be elevated the next couple of days due to
   recent dryness, lower RH values, and elevated winds. A Fire
   Weather Watch has been been issued for the northern half of
   Alabama.

 - Drought conditions are expected to worsen through next week.

High pressure will remain over the Southeast through the middle
of next week. A slight push to the east on Sunday, will allow for
some higher winds across the north and west. With the southerly
flow, we will begin to see some "moisture" work back in, but this
will generally just get us into the 30 to 40 percent RH values
versus the 20s. However, this moisture will be limited through
Sunday, so we will be very close to fire danger concerns. We went
ahead and issued a Fire Weather Watch for the northern half to
show the potential, and will possibly increase to warning with
the next forecast this evening.

Next week, several shortwaves move around the high, though the
trend is continuing dry through the week as the best moisture
remains shunted by the high and remains to our west. Temperatures
will likely climb into the mid to upper 80s each day. Drought
conditions are expected to worsen quickly this week with the lack
of rain.

VFR conditions are expected for the next 24 hours and beyond. Calm
winds overnight will become southerly to southeasterly around 8-10
kts tomorrow.

.FIRE WEATHER...

Dry conditions are expected through at least Thursday, with high
pressure dominating the pattern. RH values remain in the 20-30%
range through Sunday, increasing to the low to mid 30s by Monday.
We will be borderline on Red Flag Warning criteria on Sunday, we
opted to go ahead and do a Fire Weather Watch for the northern
half of the area. Ongoing drought conditions will only help keep
fuels very dry. Any fires could spread quickly due to the the dry
conditions and steady afternoon winds that are forecast.
Conditions will be closely monitored over the coming days.
